Gone are the days when only Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote were the only ones doing the running, jumping, and all kinds of moving in the Looney Tunes world. The Tazmanian Devil might have done some serious spinning, but Bugs Bunny was usually seen chomping on carrots and asking Doc what is up. Tweety, while being constantly schemed upon by Sylvester, was more of a strategist and sat around too much inside her cage. Not anymore.

Been a Looney Tunes fanatic? Well, let’s relive the spirit when we were enjoying those movies and series before. This time, let’s make it healthy and fun together with your family as:

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) launched the Looney Tunes Active! program to support global efforts to promote an active and healthier lifestyle for children. Looney Tunes Active! aims to encourage an active lifestyle among its target market, primarily children and their families, by engaging in sports and other physical activities while having fun at the same time. Looney Tunes Active! shows kids that being active is cool!

This year, WBCP will launch a sequel to the Looney Tunes Active! Fun Run, this time in SM Megamall on May 29, 2010, and SM City Cebu on June 5, 2010. Acting as race directors are Rio dela Cruz, fresh from the Boston Marathon, and Noy Jopson, Philippines Iron Man, respectively.

To register, proceed to the following Timex store branches:

• SM Megamall, from April 26 to May 22, 2010, for the SM Megamall race;
• Ayala Center Cebu and Watch Republic, SM Cebu, from April 26 to May 30, 2010, for the SM Cebu Race.

Registrations fees are P350 for the SM Megamall race for May 29,

P350 for the 3K and 5K SM Cebu race and P400 for the 10k, both on June 5.

Kids get a discount at P250 for the 500m dash.
