Sunday dawn, after jamming my time with my CBS bloggers’ friends in a Birthday Party, I was doing some editions in my blog. Since I was able to received my new Logo (as seen above), I decided to change my favicon. And so I cropped the logo, and convert it as .ICO file via net.
Actually, that was not my first time in doing that thing. When I as uploading the image(.ico file) in my file manager, I misplaced it. What I did was to move it from another folder for the favicon to work. Unfortunately, I did not get it right. I did the trial-and-error thing, deleting it, uploading it again…. and vice versa —
…unconsciously, I highlighted a file which is very important. I hit the delete key in my keyboard.
And that’s it! The problem started! When I tried to access my homepage, I was seeing a plane white page….. with the header title: List of…..
I was shocked! Waaaaaaaa….what did I Do.. to make the story short, I browse on my CPanel… and proceed to my software listing! Clicked the Fanstastico…. and chose WORDPRESS.
What I had in my mind that time was to really restore the settings. Hoping for a good result, I deleted the WP software……without any doubt!
So pathetic! The only way that I was thinking that could resolved my problem turned to be the worst! Damn!
I send an SMS (text)to the owner of the Hosting site… 5AM. And went to bed!
This time, my site was totally dead! Inaccessible. OMG!
10:30 AM… woke up! checking my mobile, hoping for a reply. There was none. So I resend my message . And thank GOD, Mr Paul Villacorta – the owner of HOSTFORTES replied.
…he was helping me restoring my site. The only medium we’re using in our conversation is through texting (SMS)…
I was so hopeless! Knowing I had erased my WP software. All was gone.. I have to start from scratch…waaaa…. the only solution I had in my MIND is to use JOOMLA framework and import my FEED,,,(to retrieve my POSTS) . And to start (again) customizing the site and building traffic.
Stop! about 5PM, I woke from 2hours of sleeping! I texted(SMS) Mr PAul about the Status of mt Blog… his reply?
your site is already up, you just have to reconfigure you wp-config
I felt so alive. And so I configured the wp-config file with the help, of course, with the HOSTFORTES owner.
At last! my Blog is online again.

i had roughly the same problem last year, so i know exactly how that feels. the moment my site crashed, i felt like i was the thickest bonehead ever heheh. fortunately, a friend came to my rescue and managed to get my site online (via remote tinkering) in a few hours.
