September, the month Christmas Season starts. Well most of you will definitely agree on me. Christmas songs are being played now in different radio stations. And surely its popularity will slowly rise as the Yuletide comes swifly. I should be downloading as early as now those fave songs of mine. So excited!
Here in the Philippines, the spirit of Christmas is now roaming and wandering in every corners as it mingles to the cold weather. I can sense it! I can specifically smell it. I can feel it.
Seasons of giving!
Seasons of loving!
Seasons of sharing!
That is Christmas!
And that’s how Christmas should be. Agree?! Being generous! We have different ways of showing generosity, like giving gifts to our loveones. Very common, but full of meaning.
So this could also be the best time that we should make a list of gifts that we are to give and share to our LovyDovyOnes! . Aheheheh!
What made me post something about Christmas at this early?
Aheheh! As I’ve said, I smell the essence and spirit of Chritmas. Lols! Isn’t that a good reason? Well well well I just wanna share some good things that was happening to me just this evening when heading for home.
Ready to read? I’ll make it short, don’t worry!
Around 7:00PM, after I got out from the office, I had a long walk heading to the jeepney stop I used to stand and wait for the ride. I had with me a small plastic cup of very sweet yellow corn. Walking down the street I was savoring the sweetness of the of the yellow corn. When I arrived at the place, I did not look for public jeepneys first. I sat down under the tree still eating the corn. I so loved the weather that time. So Soothing! A stress-reliever. I noticed a girl and was approacing to where I seated. I thought she was just to sit near me. I looked at her and she said,
“Kuya paliti kug sampaguita?” – asking me to buy a sampaguita necklace she was bringing.
- Sampaguita Flower
It was worth 5 pesos. I tried to ignore her at first and continue eating my corn. So evil! lolz!
“Sigi na Kuya, naa bitaw ka sinsiyo.” – requesting me to buy for she knew that I have some coins.
I am really hesitant to this kind of situation. I don’t wanna do good deeds in public. So very ironic to think. I was looking around the place and saw just a ‘lil people passing by.
So that was my chance! I had no reasons not to buy it since my very reason in not doing it was not applicable. No one was watching. A very good chance.
I had my coins. I still had enough money. I had to buy.
And so I did it. A big accomplishment for me. So love the feeling when you oversome something that is not in you. I continued the conversation. I asked her is she’s still in school. Good to hear! She’s still studying. I adore her so much. Doing that thing after school? That is not her responsibilty. Right?
The good thing I found out was that the school she is entering to is the same school I was spending my whole elementary days! Aheheh! A governent school.
So cool! I was able to talk and encounter a student from my elementary alma mater.
Sampaguita flowers and her angelic smile, the best thing to treasure.
And I am still lingering on the feeling! Inspired to have this post.
At the Jeepney, ”Perfect Christmas” by Jose Mari Chan was playing.
Now tell me, am I the only one who feels the Spirit Of Chritmas? Sure thing you have your own experiences too.
Happy Holidays in Advance!
Merry Christmas!
